A&D Mortgage is a Florida-based lender of conventional loans that grew 75% in 2025, to 14,692 loans, faster than about nine in ten similar lenders.
Growth far above peers and the market
Originations rose 75% from 8,404, against 16% for similar lenders (independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans) and 10% for the whole market. Five years earlier it made 1,928 loans, and its originations have risen every year since 2018.
Almost entirely conventional loans
Conventional loans made up 94.8% of its lending, against 61.6% at similar lenders, a higher share than about nine in ten of them. FHA loans (insured by the Federal Housing Administration) were 4.8%, against 26.4%, and VA loans (guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs) 0.4%, against 8.8%. Its typical loan was $325,000, against $285,000, and 4.0% of its loans were jumbo (larger than the conforming limit), against 1.3%.
Many loans in majority-minority areas, fewer to LMI borrowers
It made 45.5% of its loans in majority-minority areas, against 27.5% at similar lenders, more than about nine in ten of them. Only 19.1% went to LMI (low- and moderate-income) borrowers, against 30.2%, lower than about four in five similar lenders. Its small FHA share and larger loans could explain this, since FHA lending often serves lower-income buyers.
Sixth in Miami, new in Minneapolis
It ranked 6 of 937 lenders in Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach, around its Fort Lauderdale base. In Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford it ranked 17 of 854, with a share of 1.0%, up from 0.9%. It entered Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington in 2025 and ranked 64 of 688.
