Credit Union of Texas makes almost nothing but refinance loans, 99.9% of the total, and half of its loans are in majority-minority areas, a higher share than about nine in ten similar credit unions.

Originations rose 1% to 2,535, against 10% for similar lenders and the whole market. They grew from 1,344 in 2020 to 2,868 in 2023 and were 2,502 and 2,535 in the two years since. With almost no purchase lending, its volume rests on one product, which could explain growth below peers.
In Longview it ranks 34 of 306, with 0.7% of loan dollars against 0.3% a year earlier, and it has lent there since 2006. It entered Wichita Falls in 2023.
