Royal Credit Union is the leading lender in Eau Claire, with 26.2% of that market, and lends to low- and moderate-income borrowers far more than similar credit unions, while its volume held level in 2025.
It ranked 1 of 220 lenders in Eau Claire, ahead of Rocket Mortgage, though its share fell from 28.3% to 26.2%. In Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington it ranked 13 of 688 with 1.7%, down from 2.0%. National lenders' competition could explain the small losses.
