CommunityAmerica Federal Credit Union is the leading lender in Kansas City, ranked 1 of 659 with 7.9% of the market, and its loans rose 9% in 2025 as it spread into new markets.
It leads Kansas City ahead of Fairway Independent Mortgage, but its share fell to 7.9% from 8.5%. Its originations rose 9%, close to the whole market's 10%, so competitors there may simply have grown faster, or it may have put more of its growth into new markets.
It merged with Edison Credit Union in 2024 and with Electro Savings and UNIFY Financial in 2025, and entered Bismarck, Roanoke and Rochester, Minnesota in 2025. Its St. Louis share rose to 0.3% from 0.1%, and it now lends in 43 states. Members of the merged credit unions may account for some of this spread.
