Mountain America Federal Credit Union is a large Utah credit union whose lending leans on refinancing and home improvement, and it made about half as many loans in 2025 as five years before.
It made 9,837 loans, against 19,813 five years before and 22,067 in 2021. Volume was flat, a change of 0%, while the typical similar lender (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans) and the whole market both grew 10%, lower growth than more than eight in ten of them.
