A small book of large loans
Its 41 loans were fewer than about seven in ten similar lenders made (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans), yet its $31.1 million lent was more than nearly nine in ten. Its typical loan of $385,000 was more than double the $165,000 for similar lenders, and 17.9% of its loans were jumbo (larger than the conforming limit), against 1.7%. For a bank of $4.4 billion in assets it made few home loans, and their size could point to wealthier customers.
